All that a child gains or suffers comes from how the mother speaks to him or her. Always speak angelically to the child. Out of that is born the divinity, the dignity, the grace, the future, the destiny, the fate, the luck and the prosperity of the child. If you do not recognize your own child as an angel, you'll never recognize your child. If you never recognize the angel, you'll never recognize the God.

Indra is a long time student of Sonia Sumar in the disciplic succession of Swami Satchidananda's Integral Yoga. Recently Indra has returned to her ancestral roots studying Kundalini Yoga in the Sikh tradition of Yogi Bhajan. Indra is a living example of the many disciplines of Yoga. Her exceptional practice extends beyond the mat to the art of raising children and effectively managing the struggles of a single mother.

Indra is at home practicing many of the traditional practices of Yoga including, Japa and Kirtan, and has mastered many of the Asanas and meditative techniques of traditional Hatha Yoga. Indra's broad traditional background gives her a unique perspective on the ancient science of yoga. She is uniquely qualified to teach a broad range of practices from Vedanta to Tantra and is a rare jewel in the too often commercialised age of modern Yoga.

"Indra has an in-depth knowledge of Kundalini Yoga and all the associated aspect's surrounding the subject.

The classes are organised with respect and admiration for Yogi Bhajan but also with a sense of humour and love for life with all its ups and downs that a spiritual journey and practice may take you on.

The blend of Kriya's, meditations, chants and relaxations make each weekly session enjoyable, different and educational.

A weekly haven for anyone interested in yoga"

- Steve Darley

Indra also has an interest in colour. She trained with 'aura soma' school of colour therapy to gain a clear understanding about how colour truly effects our lives. Indra works with colour throughout her yoga sessions in meditation and relaxation to help enhance their positive effects.

"I teach all levels introducing the benefits and importance of all components that make the practice 'whole' including breathing techniques, chanting, asana practice, kriyas, deep relaxation and meditation. Often chakra focus is included which gives students a true focus"

"Sound is a major part of Kundalini yoga and it's affects on the body are astounding. During weekly class and monthly sadhana chanting is part of practice. Yoga is not just a weekly class but a personal journey that should be embraced during each individual's life. May this introduction bring great benefits, joy and happiness to your life and may the teachings of Kundalini yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan be cherished deep within your soul as they have been within mine."
